As an authority, our waste and recycling aims are:

  • to improve the use of resource and waste management by encouraging waste avoidance, minimisation, re-use, recycling, composting, and other recovery techniques that meet accepted best practicable environmental options
  • to increase the amount and type of recyclable materials that can be collected every week
