Planning levies and obligations
Section 106, Community Infrastructure Levy and other planning obligations
We currently use section 106 agreements to secure a range of requirements in connection with planning permissions. We are still considering whether to proceed with the introduction of a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). The Government announced in the Housing White Paper in February 2017 that they would “examine the options for reforming the system of developer contributions”, and that any changes would be announced in the Autumn Budget. We will review our position after any such announcement is made.
