Advertisement consent
This type of application should be used for proposals to display an advertisement or sign which requires consent. The term advertisement covers a wide range of advertisements and signs including:
• posters and notices
• placards and boards
• fascia signs and projecting signs
• pole signs and canopy signs
• models and devices
• advance signs and directional signs
• estate agents' boards
• captive balloon advertising (not balloons in flight)
• flag advertisements
• price markers and price displays
• traffic signs
• town and village name signs

The following items are needed for all applications
• Application form
• Fee
• Location plan (scale 1:2500 or 1:1250) with application site outlined in red
• Block plan (scale 1:500) or Site plan (scale 1:200) - to show the exact position of any advertisements that are not on a building
• Elevation drawings – existing and proposed (scale 1:50 or 1:100) - to show the position, materials and the colour of existing and proposed signage - if sited on a building plans must show the whole of the side of the building
