New parking charges
New parking charges for our car parks and permits will take effect from Tuesday 1 April 2025.
A guide to the options available if you have received a Penalty Charge Notice
You may view your PCN details and evidence gathered by the officers. In order to do this you will need your PCN reference number starting DX and your vehicle registration
You can make payment for a PCN starting DX on our online payment platform.
You can make credit or debit card payments by phoning the automated payment line on 0300 4560546.
Alternatively you can speak to a customer service agent to make payment on 01271 388279 (Weekdays 9am to 5pm)
To pay by post, complete the payment slip at the bottom of your Penalty Charge Notice and attach it to a cheque payable to North Devon District Council

If you believe that the penalty should not be paid and wish to challenge the PCN, you can submit a challenge to this authority. Challenges can only be accepted in writing and cannot be done over the telephone.
Please include all the information you deem necessary to support your appeal.
If challenges are received no later than the last day of the 14 days beginning with the date on which the PCN was served and rejected then the 50% reduced charge stated on the PCN will usually be re-offered for a further period of 14 days.
A challenge will be responded to within 14 days.
Please note, if the PCN was issued today, you will need to wait until the next day to appeal online.

You will need to provide your vehicle registration number and as much detail as possible in order for us to find your PCN.
The Penalty Charge Notice procedure is set out in the Traffic Management Act 2004 and something the local council has no control over.
