Businesses in North Devon are being invited to a free event next month to find out about business rates and North Devon Council's financial plans, as well as a series of talks on the district's cultural programme of activity that has been taking place and is planned for 2025.
The budget plans event will take place at the Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon between 5.30-8pm on Wednesday 12 February.
The evening will start with a private tour of the latest exhibition within the Museum, led by Cultural Lead, Alison Mills. There will also be a focus on how footfall can be collectively increased, dwell time and spend in our town centres and some of the tools being used to help this. Those attending will also receive an update on the council’s 2025/26 budget plans and be able to find out just how their business rates are spent.
Director of Resources Jon Triggs says: “We are keen to share our financial plans for the coming year and listen to the views of our local businesses too. We look forward to sharing our cultural programme of activity for this year, and reflecting on what's been achieved so far. This is a great - and free - opportunity to engage with other local business owners. We hope to see you there!"
Attendees do not need to book their place. This is a free event for all businesses, but especially those with a rated business premise.
