A boat which ran aground at Ilfracombe on Friday, 20 September 2024 has been successfully recovered.
The council was made aware of an incident in which a boat has gone aground at Ilfracombe on the morning of 20 September.
No persons were on board the boat and no other people were involved.
The council worked with the RNLI and Coastguard to manage the incident. The Maritime and Coastguard Agency has been informed.
The boat was stranded on rocks. An inspection of the boat took place and found there was no damage to the boat's hull, and no pollution as a result of the incident.
A recovery operation took place shortly after 1800 with a local salvage operator. The boat was safely removed from the rocks and secured alongside the Quay Wall.
