North Devon Council is excited to announce the reopening of its Community Councillor Grant scheme, inviting local groups to seize the opportunity and apply for funding.
Under this scheme, each North Devon councillor has access to £1,000 to allocate towards projects or groups within the North Devon district throughout the year.
These grants aim to provide support to charities, voluntary and community groups, as well as not-for-profit organisations, for projects directly benefiting residents, the environment, and the community at large.
Previous beneficiaries of the scheme include youth clubs, toddler groups, sports clubs, museums, village halls, and environmental groups. Grants can be utilised for equipment costs, and activities, or to assist with day-to-day operational expenses.
Leader of North Devon Council, Councillor Ian Roome, says: “Our Community Councillor Grant scheme is here to support a diverse range of projects, whether they are well-established charities or newly emerging initiatives. We are committed to backing our local clubs, communities, and organisations that are making a positive impact in North Devon.
