Ilfracombe Pier car park

Have your say on improvements to the Ilfracombe Pier car park. Closes 29 July.

North Devon Council is planning to resurface Ilfracombe's Pier car park in 2025 as part of a wider programme of works. The council is also looking at how to improve the accessibility of the car park for its users.

It is proposed that these works will also include: increasing the size of car parking spaces and relining; improving the health and safety for pedestrians by making improvements to the pedestrian areas to make them clearly identifiable; the removal of potential trip hazards; measures to help those who are visually impaired to navigate around the car park and join the pier; the provision of EV chargers; and the relocation of pay and display machines.

The purpose of this consultation is to seek stakeholder views on if there are any changes that are required to be made to the car park to improve accessibility for all users, which will form part of final plan for improvements to be made to the car park.

This consultation will run for six weeks starting on Monday 17 June 2024 until Monday 29 July 2024.
