A partnership working to improve Barnstaple town centre

Barnstaple Town Centre Management (TCM) is a partnership between North Devon Council, Devon County Council, Barnstaple Town Council, the police, marketing bureau, and the private sector. TCM now has a membership of close to 50 businesses.

Barnstaple’s TCM is responsible for a wide range of projects and activities including

  • marketing the town
  • publication of various guides
  • management of the TCM website
  • management of Barnstaple’s BID
  • managing a number of events such as the Christmas lights switch-on
  • Barnstaple’s Safer Business Scheme
  • consultation with the business community to make improvements to the town

TCM aims to drive footfall, increase visitor numbers and create a thriving and attractive town at the heart of North Devon.
