At risk of homelessness
Come to us for help as soon as you are worried about losing your home. The sooner you come to us, the more we can help.
Our main aim is to help keep you in your home and we can provide free advice and support to help you. If it isn't possible for you to stay in your current home, we may be able to help you find somewhere else to live.
Everyone is different, so we need to know about your individual circumstances to find the best solution to your housing problem.
You can apply online (below) and then a member of our housing team will get in touch with you.
If you'd rather speak to someone on the phone or in person, you can do that too.
Priority is given to the vulnerable and those in most need, but we are here to give advice and information to everyone.
We can help you with:
- your rights and responsibilities
- finding the right accommodation
- improving communication with family, landlords or lenders
- having your home repossessed*
- being evicted
- dealing with violence or aggression
- getting help from other organisations
You can find more information about these services in our Housing Options leaflet (pdf 657kb).
We may also be able to give you financial support to prevent you becoming homeless. This could include:
- rent deposits
- rent in advance
- help with rent or mortgage arrears
We will need to carry out a financial assessment to check that you are eligible. You can apply online (above) or contact us.
