205 requests for information were received between 1 July and 30 September 2017, of those requests:

  • 199 were answered within the 20 working day statutory time limit
  • 121 were granted in full (not exemption or exception was applied)
  • 8 required clarification/further information from the applicants, 4 of which no response was received, therefore those requests were closed and no further action was taken
  • 39 requests were received, and then, upon further research, transferred/referred (some in part) to other local authorities/external organisation(s)
  • were permitted extensions to the response deadline
  • request was responded to under day to day business
  • 19 were partially withheld/refused
  • 23 were fully withheld/refused
  • 91 were responded to in full or part in accordance with the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR)


During this quarter, the average number of days that it took to respond to a request was 14 working days
