Council refund scam

We have been made aware that some residents have received emails claiming to be from GOV.UK offering refunds for council tax. Please do not click on any of the links in the email which will ask for your card details so that the refund can be processed. Once they have your card details they can take money from your account.

If you are in any doubt of the authenticity of a call, email or text concerning your council tax account, please contact us on 01271 388361 or email counciltax@northdevon.gov.uk.

A suspected incident can be reported to Action Fraud  0300 123 2040.
